We understand that when visiting a church for the first time you may have questions, and we have tried to provide helpful information below. If you still have questions after reading through the information, please give us a call at (804) 769-2320 from 9am-2pm (Tuesday - Friday).
Where are you located?
Our physical address is 901 Sharon Rd, King William, VA 23086. We are across the street from King William High School. Click here for Google Maps Directions.
What about parking?
We have plenty of paved parking that surrounds the sides and back of the church building. We also have a gravel overflow lot adjacent to the paved lot that is used regularly on Sunday mornings. We do have several handicap parking spaces adjacent to the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall.
Where should I enter?
If you are arriving for Sunday School, you can enter through the Fellowship Hall, the Sanctuary, or the entrance to the left of the Sanctuary. The church building is essentially three levels and the ground is sloped. So, the the Sanctuary is at ground level at the entrance, and the Fellowship Hall, which is the lower level, is at ground level in the back of the building. We have a variety of Sunday School classes and they are located upstairs and downstairs. If you are arriving for worship time, we recommend entering through the Sanctuary doors.
Is the building handicap accessible?
We have handicap parking spaces available near the Sanctuary and the Fellowship Hall. We have an elevator to take you to the upstairs or downstairs.
Can my children stay in the Worship Service?
We encourage families to attend with their children, and the children are welcome to stay in the Sanctuary for the entire Worship Service. On most Sundays, we have a children's message and then dismiss children age 3 - 5th grade to children's church. Read more about our Children's Ministry.
What activities do you have for youth and children?
On Sunday morning, we have Sunday School for children age 3 - 12th grade starting at 9:00am. On Wednesday evenings during the school year, we have an AWANA program children in Kindergarten to sixth grade and Youth Group for grades 6-12. During the summer our Youth Group meets on a modified schedule. We also offer special events throughout the year for our children and youth. (examples- retreats, camp, VBS, etc.) These events will be posted on our calendar and in our bulletin. Read more about our Children's Ministry and Youth Ministry.
What is the worship service like?
Our worship service is mostly traditional with scripture reading, prayer, hymns and an adult choir. The first Sunday of each month we observe the Lord's Supper. On months where there is a 5th Sunday, our Youth Group leads our singing and worship time. The sanctuary has traditional pews and the words for hymns are displayed on digital screens at the front of the Sanctuary. The attire for the worship service is varied from dressy to casual. We invite you to come as you are!
