Our Church History

Sharon Baptist Church recently celebrated their 250th Anniversary!  The sanctuary was purchased in 1842 from Second Baptist Church located in the City of Richmond.  The building was dismantled and transported by wagons to King William, Virginia.  The reconstruction of the church building was finished in April of 1845 and Sharon Baptist Church met in the reconstructed building for the first time.  Over the years, Sharon Baptist Church has had a rich history of serving the community for the Glory of God.
